FREQUENTLY ASKED
Answers to the Questions Parents Ask Most.
We understand that choosing the right support for your child is a big decision. These common questions will help guide you with clarity and confidence.
Can you assess my child for ADHD?
The service is not completing ADHD assessments at this time.
Will assessment reports be accepted by the Department of Education?
Yes, our reports are completed by a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and CORU registered associates, therefore reports are widely accepted.
Do you offer online sessions?
Parent consultations can be completed online. Direct assessments with your child or adolescent are best completed face to face.
My child or family present with risky behaviours, can you help us?
While we would love to support every young person, at this time we are unable to provide a service to young people with complex mental health needs requiring a
multidisciplinary approach. This includes young people presenting with self harm or suicidal thinking, eating disorders, drug and alcohol misuse, severe depression or
psychosis. If your child and family are being actively supported by Tusla, it is preferable to wait until that work is completed before commencing work with us.
We do not provide medico legal reports or reports for family law proceedings. We also require the written consent of both legal guardians in order to see your child.
To avoid conflict of interest, we do not see young people attending or on the waiting list of the local CAMHS service.
While we do not currently provide occupational or speech and language therapy therapeutic services, we can signpost you to our trusted local partners.
